It works exactly as describe. Actually, it will output much larger than 60" without much distortion. As long as you don't compare it to the very large tabletop projectors or much more expensive models you will not be disappointed. The brightness over-all is better than another model that I seen of equal price, but you still need a rather dark room for it to be effective, as I imagine is the case for most projectors. I'm pleased with it and would recommend it for what it's worth. It's a 4 oz device, not a 60" plasma HDTV.
Other devices are always "just around the corner", but if you aren't into waiting several months in hopes of prices to start lowering and with untested durability with new devices then this is a good choice. It's already been heavily tested and no malfunctions or defects or lifespan issues mentioned as of yet. However, the speaker is weak, and they probably should have left it off like many other projectors have done. Using a separate speaker system or headphones solves that issue.
As other posters have said, it does display a better image than others which are "suppose" to be better when comparing the listed specs.
Buy a cheap adapter so you can use your laptop with it...or just plug it into your phone like I do. It will work with any phone that has TV-Out. If you can see it on your phone, then you can see it with the projector. No conversions necessary. :)

If you bought this projector to work with your PC, you can still do it, with a S-video to TV out converter, connect the S-video to your computer and the TV out to the projector, you will have the image only, the audio will still go out from your speakers.
Also I should mention that this is a very good projector, very decent quality for a projector of this size.

This is an amazing product for displaying large images from iPods, cell phones and MP3 players. Do not mistake this projector for use with computers and DVD players. The PK-101 is way too cool and portable for use by dinosaurs still tethered to computers and DVD players.
This projector was obviously designed for the under 25 crowd who are always connected to their iPods and other hand held devices.
As soon as my high school age daughter got her hands on the pico projector she knew how to use it. She plugged it into her iPod touch and was displaying videos on the ceilings and walls around the house. There is a built in speaker but since this is a personal projector it is better to use ear buds connected to the iPod for audio.
Overall, this product is a home run. Its great for sharing photos and videos stored on iPods, digital cameras, cell phones and MP3 players. Note - you do need a composite video output on your cell phone to show videos from the projector.

I've been following the progress of development and release for the past year and was not disappointed. Although the focus is a bit sensitive, once done, the picture is more than you'd expect from such a small unit. Connection to an iPod is seamless. All things considered it's a welcome addition when space and time are a consideration.

I love this thing. I bought the Aipek first so I could compare the two units, and just sent the Aipek back today. The Aipek was bigger, cheap quality build, dimmer, and the picture was not as crisp, even though the resolution was better on paper. I'm not new to projectors. My current home projector is the Panasonic PT-AE2000 full HD. Can this little device compare to the quality of that? No. I have not seen many projectors that look decent in ambient light, you got to have a darkened room to enjoy the experience. In a darkened room, watching video in my travels on the ceiling while in bed in upwards of 60" is a real thrill.
Tonight I just shared a video with some friends of a project I am working on. I projected the pic on their living room wall. They are both in their 70's, and trying to show them on a 2x2 screen would have been difficult. They were amazed and wanted one immediately!
The picture is outstanding for this little thing. I use my Zune, I-phone, and Laptop to watch video and pics. If your laptop does not have a TV out, you can get a cheap VGA to TV USB converter here on Amazon. If you use an I-phone, you can only view the I-pod function and Youtube. I'm waiting to get my hands on the Microvision Show WX:
